Many of you have asked how to find Allercreme, the lotion for pleasuring and for use as a lubricant that we recommended in our original version of The Gift of Sex (published in 1981).

Unfortunately Allercreme no longer exits. We were very disappointment when the company stopped making it. We have not found another lotion that can be used for total body pleasuring and also for a vaginal lubricant. We are open to what you have found that works. Feel free to email us.

What we recommend is that couples find an oil or lotion they like for pleasuring and then use a different product for a vaginal lubricant. Albolene, a facial cleanser available at most drug stores, works well as a lubricant, but is not recommended to be used with condoms, as it may decrease their effectiveness. There are many other great products that are actually designed as lubricants. The two we find most couples like are Probe and Astroglide.
