Peyronie's Disease

If you or someone close to you is struggling with Pyronie's Disease,
you might benefit from reading a young man's story of
finding help for this condition.

I developed Peyronie’s Disease in high school; I thought I had cancer and had already decided I would die before I let them cut off my penis.

The curvature I had was too severe to allow intercourse and the pain from an erection would wake me up at night. I went to several doctors; most said we just don’t know much about it and there is no cure. The ones who gave me any hope said in 3 or 4 years, when the disease has run its course, they could do surgery. If the deformity was not too severe they could stitch the other side to straighten it out but this would make the penis much shorter. Most of the doctors said they would not do any surgery without putting in prosthesis.

When you are in high school, deformed and in pain, 3 to 4 years seems like an eternity and even then the options didn’t sound that great, I was desperate for answers.

To make a long story short (no pun intended), I tried everything but nothing really worked. I developed plaque on the other side of my penis which helped to straighten it out but left it shorter and lumpy.

Years later, after I was married, it came back and I started looking for new studies. I found that Verapamil was showing promise but the shots could cause more scarring, then I found PDL’s Transdermal Verapamil. It worked great, it stopped the pain and, to my surprise, it softened the scars from years earlier; the hard knots I had before are now almost gone.

I would highly recommend Verapamil cream to any one with Peyronie’s Disease and my insurance did pay for it.

A Personal Story of a Wedding Gift and a Transformed Life

A friend of mine gave me your book, Getting Your Sex Life Off To A Great Start, as a wedding present.  I never read it until last year.

Due to my past child sexual abuse, I was beginning to feel ashamed that people knew I have sex.  I felt like I was doing something wrong, and I wanted it to be kept a secret.  I was even ashamed to talk to God about it.

I knew I needed to do something. I found your book in a drawer and began to read it. What a tremendous help!

I was in counseling during the time and I believe the book helped me more than the counseling did.  I was no longer ashamed about having sex, knowing that God made it to be enjoyed and explored.  I also learned that it is expected of us to fulfill and enjoy our sexual relationship with our spouse.

I have written poetry for several years; can come up with a poem for just about anything.  Here is one that I wrote back in April, due to the feelings and information I had after reading your book.  I hope you enjoy it!

Passion is expected of us
when we're with our lifetime mate.

It's so complex, the gift given by God,
as we share ourselves in the deepest of ways.

It was God's idea; He said it was good.
It's an awesome thing; He said to enjoy.

As love between a man and a woman,
is not to be treated as a toy.

The love of God to His church,
Is like the love of a man and a woman.

As we share each other as husband and wife,
we are sharing with God all parts of our life.

Until Christ comes back to unite with us
we are not to be ashamed.

For He wants us to enjoy one another,
as long as we honor His name.
